Wie over de Zaagmuldersweg rijdt of fietst kijkt standaard minimaal twee keer opzij. Een keer naar waar ooit de ingang was van het roemruchte Stadion Oosterpark en één keer de andere kant op. Richting het huis van Henk en Ans. Het huis ademt FC Groningen. Zondag zijn de echte Oosterparkers aanwezig bij de wedstrijd in Euroborg tegen FC Twente.
Henk en Ans wonen al jaren aan de Zaagmuldersweg in Groningen. Tot aan 2005 pal tegenover het onderkomen van FC Groningen. Hoewel de thuishaven van de FC is verhuisd naar Euroborg blijft het echtpaar hun club trouw volgen. “Het is net een huwelijk,” zegt Ans. “In voor- en tegenspoed. Je gaat nooit van je club scheiden, zolang ik leef blijf ik FC-supporter.”
Iedere wedstrijddag gaat bij Henk en Ans de FC-vlag uit. Zo ook komende zondag wanneer de Trots van het Noorden om 16.45 uur aftrapt tegen FC Twente. “Het hoort bij het huishouden,” zo wordt er gezegd.
