Jorg Schreuders is een echte Stadjer. De 19-jarige middenvelder is geboren in de stad Groningen, groeide er samen met zijn drie broers op en woont er nog steeds. Als jongste telg van de familie bokst Jorg zijn hele leven al op tegen zijn oudere broers Ties, Ward en Naut. De jongens zijn echte maatjes van elkaar. Waar hun levens lang gelijk op gingen, zijn de verschillen tegenwoordig groot. In de nieuwe aflevering van Ons Team ging het contentteam met Jorg en zijn broers de stad in.
De FC’er schittert sinds afgelopen seizoen in Euroborg en zwoegt al jaren op het voetbalveld. Zijn broers storten zich vol in het studentenleven en blokken in de collegezaal. De oudste broer Ties studeert vastgoedkunde in Groningen, broer Ward is naar Leiden verhuisd voor een studie bestuurskunde en Naut doet bedrijfskunde in Groningen.
Jorg Schreuders: “We zijn niet meer zo vaak als vroeger met z’n vieren, maar de momenten dat het past proberen we dat zeker te doen. Zij zitten in het studentenleven en ik in het voetbal. Dat is een wereld van verschil, maar qua persoonlijkheden zijn we dezelfde soort gasten.”
De schema’s binnen de familie Schreuders lopen dusdanig ver uit elkaar. Als voetballer is Jorg vaak vroeg op de club en is nachtrust en goede voeding van groot belang. De studenten genieten juist van het studentenleven en de bijbehorende versnaperingen. “Ik vind het altijd wel mooi om de verhalen van mijn broers te horen.”
Zijn broers roemen de voetballer juist weer om de discipline en het iedere dag willen trainen om beter te worden. ‘Een talentvolle jongeman met de wereld aan zijn voeten.’ Hoewel beide werelden verschillen is het wederzijdse respect groot.
