FC Groningen won vrijdagavond in Euroborg met 2-0 van Telstar. De vierde overwinning op rij voor de Trots van het Noorden. Het duel in Euroborg was een bijzondere voor doelpuntenmaker Luciano Valente en verdediger Nick Bakker. Laatstgenoemde maakte na ruim 10 jaar zijn rentree voor FC Groningen. Feest, Valente en Bakker zijn de hoofdingrediënten voor de nieuwste aflevering van ‘Thuis.’
FC Groningen wilde voorafgaand aan de wedstrijd tegen ‘De Witte Leeuwen’ uit Velsen-Zuid één ding, de goede serie een positief vervolg geven. De ploeg speelde met energie en ontving dat ook vanaf de tribunes. Het resulteerde in een snelle goal van Luciano Valente die halverwege de eerste helft zijn tweede van de avond maakte.
Telstar-thuis op 8 december 2023 zal voor verdediger Nick Bakker voor altijd een bijzondere wedstrijd zijn. De Groninger maakte na een lange afwezigheid niet alleen zijn rentree in het betaalde voetbal, maar deed dat ook nog eens voor de club van zijn jeugd. Zijn FC, FC Groningen.
