Het project Meer en Beter Bewegen Tour van stichting FC Groningen in de Maatschappij is één van de genomineerden voor de Voetbal Geeft Prijs. Een initiatief van de VriendenLoterij, in samenwerking met de Eredivisie CV en ESPN. De FC strijdt met 9 andere genomineerden om de hoofdprijs van liefst €50.000 euro. Uit alle inzendingen worden door zowel een jury als het publiek de drie beste projectplannen gekozen. Supporters kunnen stemmen op FC Groningen. Naast geldprijzen is elke stem gegarandeerd een euro waard voor het project.
Stemmen op de Meer en Beter Bewegen Tour van stichting FC Groningen in de Maatschappij kan nog tot en met zondag 11 juni. Iedere stem levert het project gegarandeerd €1,- op. Daarnaast maakt FC Groningen kans op één van de hoofdprijzen. De drie beste projecten worden beloond met een projectfinanciering van €50.000, €30.000 of €20.000 van de VriendenLoterij.
De Meer en Beter Bewegen Tour is een initiatief van FC Groningen in de Maatschappij in samenwerking met basketbalclub Donar, volleybalclub Lycurgus en Team 4 Mijl. Gezamenlijk gaan de clubs de regio in om kinderen kennis te laten maken met sporten en beweegvormen. Samen wordt ingezet op een beweegrijke toekomst om daarmee de strijd tegen bewegingsarmoede aan te gaan. Vroeg beginnen met bewegen, betekent een leven lang plezier.
Bewegingsarmoede is in Noord-Nederland een serieus thema, dat zonder aandacht hiervoor in de toekomst kan leiden tot grotere (gezondheids)problemen. Onder de noemer Meer & Beter Bewegen wil FC Groningen samen met collega-clubs de kracht van topsport inzetten als inspiratie voor jongeren om bewuster en meer te bewegen. Het maakt daarbij niet uit welke sportbeoefening er wordt gedaan, zolang mensen maar in beweging komen.
De Voetbal Geeft Prijs is een initiatief van de VriendenLoterij, in samenwerking met de Eredivisie CV en ESPN. Met deze competitie krijgen alle clubs de kans om een vernieuwend maatschappelijk project te realiseren en zo bij te dragen aan een gezonde en sterke samenleving.
